According to them, showers or thundershowers will occur at several places over most provinces of the island after 2.00 p.m.

Fairly heavy showers (about 75 mm) are also likely at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-western Provinces.

A few showers are also likely along the Eastern and Southern coastal areas during the morning too.

Temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers are expected and the public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning.
