Sri Lanka Navy declared open another Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant installed at the village of Kilibunna, Thanamalwila, under the patronage of the Project Director of Uva Province, Jagath Pushpakumara recently. The new installation is capable of providing safe drinking water for 120 families in the region. Financial allocation for this project was made by the Presidential Task Force on Prevention of Chronic Kidney Disease. So far, the Navy has installed a total of 226 RO facilities across the country facilitating over 107,510 families and 80,185 school children with safe drinking water.
